Norway's largest ski resort

Trysil is the largest ski resort in Norway and is located around the Trysilfjellet mountain, with an altitude of 1,132 metres. The ski resort is known for its well-groomed slopes, making it a pleasure to set the first tracks through the snow early in the morning. Many of Trysil’s facilities are ski-in / ski-out, making it an easily accessible ski area.

Luxury hotels and modern lifts ensure that it is very comfortable to go on a winter holiday here. Everything has been thought of. Choose a luxury hotel directly on the slopes or treat yourself to a cozy chalet in the middle of the mountain. Wherever you stay in the village, you are assured the slopes and lifts are nearby. Good to know: many of the lifts have windshields and heated seats.

Trysil is also suitable for families with children, because of the various children’s areas and beginner slopes. Trysil is also the right place if you like to make jumps or perform tricks on skis: the fun park has won several awards.

Because the ski area is located around a mountain, you can conquer the slopes in all directions. Trysil is a paradise for many well-known carve skiers, so don’t be surprised if you meet the best skiers in the world! Many national teams have chosen this ski resort as their home-base for their training sessions.

You don’t want to ski every day? Then choose a husky safari in Trysil, a unique experience! You travel by sled pulled by six huskies through a magical winter landscape.

Trysil is located about 200 kilometres from the country’s capital, Oslo. There are direct flights to Oslo Gardermoen or you travel by ferry from Kiel in Germany to Oslo. A direct bus to Trysil leaves from Oslo Airport Gardermoen. From the port of Oslo, it is about 3 hrs drive to Trysil.
